Kerrie + Jose: Summertime Perfection in Tofino, BC
I got a some what frantic call from Kerrie and Jose, just one day before their wedding…. it was a little frantic because the photographer they had booked had to cancel on them last minute…. I was available and was happy to help them out and boy was I glad I did cause their small, intimate wedding was so beautiful. They had just their 3 closest friends and 3 kids present, and their vows to each other also included the kids which was really cute as they wanted to make the commitment not only to each other but as a family unit. They chose a cozy, private forest nook for their ceremony and once the vows were exchanged and sealed with a kiss we headed down to Cox Bay in Tofino, BC for photos. Kerrie and Jose opted of a later ceremony which made for optimal lighting once we were on the beach. It was one of those magical summer evenings with the most lovely, rich light, we had a low tide and could get into the often inaccessible Rosie Bay and better yet we could access it in the golden hour. It really all came together for us on this incredible evening and I felt really bad that Jose and Kerrie had to deal with the stress of finding a photographer so last minute in the middle of summer but I gotta say I am really happy that it worked out the way it did cause these two were amazing and this shoot was a memorable one.
